Lingerie cheers us all up

A young Carmarthen woman suffering from depression stole eight items of lingerie to "cheer herself up". Back in February this year Scarlet Stephens, 20, swiped the £49.92 haul from a shop. She told the magistrate she was just trying to beat depression.

For centuries now lingerie has been a depression-beater. In today’s economic gloom there is little better than buying lingerie (not stealing it!) to cheer yourself (and your partner) up.

Even in the Great Depression of the 1930’s,luxury lingerie sales held up. Back then the choice was far more limited and less colourful than it is today.

In contrast, this 2011 season there has been a trend toward the sturdy foundation; this may be as a direct result of today's also fragile economic climate? Designers are taking their inspiration from the past, but they are using wonderful pretty colors such as violet, chartreuse, scarlet red - and elegant floral prints. You will discover panties with oversized roses, and dainty rosebuds... Don't be shocked when you come upon vivid-bright hues, festive prints clearly inspired by a Mediterranean and Spanish flavour.

Overall though the luxury market is holding up. For all designer lingerie, designer swimwear, luxury lingerie and luxury swimwear needs you should search no further than Devon’s Juste Moi where their stock of luxury brands of swimwear and lingerie is unsurpassed in the UK.

For a fabulous boutique experience visit Juste Moi in person or Juste Moi online and you will find there everything you need to sate your deepest lingerie and swimwear desires.

Lingerie is just what the doctor ordered if you are suffering from depression because of long nights this winter. Let lingerie bring light into your life and cheer you up.
